The most common finishes are very good and available but I prefer, after dyeing if it has, to finish my electric guitars in oil.

It is a finish that is easy to maintain and scratches or taps are easily removed and repaired. Also, it is more respectful of the natural aging of the wood and it seems to be that even with sound.
It's special. It provides silky touch and unique appearance, different from varnished factory guitars.
And since it takes less time to apply correctly, it is more economical and reduces the total cost of the guitar.
In any case, that's the one I like, besides being the most eco-friendly option.
